Dear Colleagues,
It would be a great honor if you or someone from your group could contribute to this Special Issue:

The following special issue, for which we serve as guest editor, will be published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (IJMS, http://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijms, ISSN 1422-0067), and is now open to receive submissions of full research articles and authoritative review papers for peer-review and possible publication:

Website: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijms/special_issues/carbon_adsorbent
Guest Editors: Prof. Carlo Crescenzi; Dr. Paolo Ciccioli; Prof. Sara Bogialli & Prof. Maria Sarno
Deadline for submissions: 31 January 2021

Earlier submissions are also welcome. They will be processed upon receipt and published online upon acceptance (i.e., possibly prior to the submission deadline).

Your being a leading scientist in the field make you a highly desirable contributor to this issue. It is therefore our privilege and pleasure to invite you, or one of your coworkers, to submit an article on this topic. Benefits of publishing with IJMS (Impact Factor: 4.556 (2019), /IJMS/ now ranks 74th out of 297 titles (Q1) in the category of ‘BIOCHEMISTRY & MOLECULAR BIOLOGY’ and 48th out of 177 titles (Q2) in ‘CHEMISTRY, MULTIDISCIPLINARY’:

  1. Open access. Open access (unlimited and free access to readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations, as indicated by several studies.
  2. High visibility: indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), MEDLINE (PubMed), Scopus and other databases. /IJMS/ now ranks 74th out of 297 titles (Q1) in the category of ‘BIOCHEMISTRY & MOLECULAR BIOLOGY’ and 48th out of 177 titles (Q2) in ‘CHEMISTRY, MULTIDISCIPLINARY’. We believe that with your help, we could definitely reach an even higher level.
  3. Rapid publication: manuscripts are peer-reviewed and a first decision provided to authors approximately 18 days after submission; acceptance to publication is undertaken in 5.6 days (median values for papers published in the first six months of 2018).
